🖨️ 3D printer station
A live demo: kids watch a print grow. It runs from the SD card, with no laptop or Wi-Fi. Draft
The rules
- One volunteer stays at the printer for the whole event. If you need a break, swap with someone first. Never leave it running alone.
- Hot parts. The nozzle is 215°C and the bed 60°C. Nobody touches them while it prints or warms up.
- Doors cracked open a few inches, so the plastic doesn't jam. Hands stay out while it moves.
- Watch the first layer. If it isn't sticking, stop the print.
- Switch it off at the end of the night. Don't leave a job paused overnight.
